Custody and Parenting Time Decision Making
(Custody and Parenting Time Decision Making)
Overview: The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, NCJFCJ, is dedicated to supporting and encouraging the judiciary to engage in practices that foster the effective administration of justice as it pertains to the safety of victims of violence and their children. Custody decisions and parenting plans that prioritize the safety of both the child and the victim parent in cases involving domestic violence are critical to preventing future harm and ensuring a family’s well-being. NCJFCJ is pleased to collaborate with the Judicial Branch Education on this training. The goal of this training is to support judges in their efforts to make child-centered custody and visitation orders that maximize safety.
