Purpose Statement: The goal is to provide judges and probation officiers with initial and continuing education about the laws concerning victims’ rights, the impact of crime on victims and their families, and how the judiciary can preserve the rights of defendants and, at the same time, comply with victims’ rights laws, within the parameters of the Code of Judicial Conduct.
